How to Access Computers File on your Android Mobile Wirelessly

Many peoples worried about how an IT guy or technical person access PC file through the Android Device.

Well, You can also do that as they did, you heard right- you can access own PC files and folders via Android Device. I’ll show you How you can do. To exchange the files and services be Sure Your PC and smartphone using the same connection (WiFi) and You have to do few changes in PC Settings.

Requirements

  • PC or Laptop (Obviously)
  • Android File Manager Application
  • Must have on Same Wifi network or interface

PC Settings

In Control Panel of Windows 7, 8, 10 (all have same settings options), you will find an option Network and Internet and then after that, another option will appear called Network and sharing center as Image shown.

On the next tab at top-left, you will find another option Change advanced sharing settings. click on that.

and the last one (not least) is the main settings panel which allows you to change the shared the file and folder option with password protection. you can also follow the settings as I did on my PC.

After that, you have done with your PC settings. now move to Android Device to access the PC’s File.

Share a Specific Folder

Just create a Folder goto Properties section > Sharing > Click on Share Button > there will open a pop-up Option-Click on Add > Select Everyone > Give the permission > Read and Write > Then Apply and Close that Tab. your Specific folder will be shown only if someone accesses your PC.

Android Settings

First, you need an Android File manager (Advanced file manager) like ES File Explorer, Solid File Explorer, X-plore File Manager or File Manager+, etc.

As Pc Settings work same in All Versions of Windows as this Setting also have same settings just Follow the step by Steps. Just install Any File Manager of the Above mentioned then Open it.

I am using Solid Explorer So, but you can use as per own choice file manager. First, click on the + Plus sign then Select New Cloud Connection then LAN SMB Option.

Then Search Functionality will automatically detect your PC if you apply that Setting which is mentioned above. or if your PC is not detecting by the smartphone, you can do settings manually.  Just Swipe Up the BlueBar then Fill the Computer’s IP Address by following the simple command [Press WIN + R > type CMD > then Type IPCONFIG]. it will show your PC’s IP address.

Then Click on Next Button, it will forward you next window screen called Authentication it will ask your PC’s Username and Password just fill it or if you don’t set the Password Just Select First Option Guest Mode and press the next Button. the review tag shows you all information which you filled there.

That’s It, Once you have done all of the following steps. Just scroll Right on the Screen, it will show you that Account which you made recently.
